Family is Best
Born and raised in York, Pennsylvania, Sean grew up in a family business. His parents owned and operated a small plate etching business for the printing industry. During a slow summer, he started his career in logistics, working the dock and driving a truck for a neighboring business, the York Ice Company. While being an ice truck driver might be the coolest job in town, Sean ventured South to complete his college degree at the College of Charleston. While working towards his degree, he worked driving a forklift, packing boxes, and dispatching drayage trucks. After receiving his degree in Business Administration / Global Logistics, he landed his first job with JB Hunt.
One of his clients, CHEP the blue pallet company, liked him so much, they hired him and moved him to Orlando. Sean spent over seven years working with the world’s largest food manufacturers and distributors in various roles for CHEP. Another local Orlando company, HD Supply, provided an opportunity for him to design and improve their sales and supply chain operations nationwide. Sean traveled the country, managing ten supply chain engineers and construction managers, and close to 100 projects at anytime.
Prior to the start of a meeting in San Diego, Sean received a call from Mac and Scott’s sister, Kelly. Paddock Transport had recently acquired Rounders Logistics in Lakeland, and they needed a local leader to help them run the business. While Sean enjoyed the perks of being a Delta million miler, he wanted to be home with his wife and three young boys. Leaving behind a fascinating career with corporate America, Sean’s passion to grow and operate a family business is being fulfilled.
